Colorstock is seeking creatives to fill the growing need for authentic stock photos featuring of people of color. We offer images of Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latino, and other ethnically diverse people at work and at play, reflecting their nuanced lives in realistic ways.
We are looking for photos that reflect this need. If you are a photographer with images of people of color -- singular or in groups -- that illustrate culture, nuance, and realism, we want to hear from you. We are seeking tomorrow's stock photos. They are not posed. They are candid. They are real. They tell a story. They are in line with Colorstock's vision.
Colorstock is highly selective. We curate images based on need and fit. We also reward our photographers with above market commissions. We don't need 'all the photos," we simply need the best photos. Our library is timely and relevant, not expansive and unwieldy.
Colorstock selects its stock photos via a quarterly 'call for artists' and an onboarding process. Photographers complete a brief questionnaire, sign a licensing agreement, and undergo a portfolio review before being selected. Colorstock's membership is currently limited to 250 photographers on a rolling basis.
Your images are still your own. You own the rights to them. Purchasers of images abide by stock photo royalty-free image license agreement. Images can be purchased by multiple users, and distributed multiple times. [To protect other's intellectual property, please ensure that you have model/location releases for all images.]
Once your images are approved for sale, you will be paid via commission model on sold images. Payments are provided monthly via PayPal.
We'll be opening up submissions again in the summer. Please log back in after June 1st to complete your application.
